Bio
I taught for sixteen years - beginning my career in the elementary classroom, moving into middle school for seven years and then concluding my career teaching high school English and serving as faculty advisor for the student newspaper. Through the course of my career, I worked with a variety of populations - from schools with low socio-economic status to ones where the families were all employed by the tech. industry. Currently, I work as a school residency facilitator for a non-profit committed to supporting arts-integrated curriculum. I know the isolation that working as a teacher can bring, and I also know how overwhelming information about new programs, curriculum, and instructional directives can be - it's a pleasure to support a website that respects teachers, creates community, and strives to provide readily applicable information.
