Overall Canva is a great app for design. It is easy to use once you learn to use the tools. It is good for secondary students as well as techers.

I love using Canva in my classroom and enlightening other teachers to its capabilities. Students find the interface very easy to learn and enjoy formatting their designs in a visually pleasing manner. This is a great tool to incorporate basic graphic design into your classroom. The only issue I have with this tool is the paywall behind some graphics. However, the site lets you upload your own pictures and graphics, so it's not a big deal and you are never truly barred from creativity. I like this tool also because it reflects my pedagogical values. For example, if we think about the SAMR framework, this tool falls under the reconstruction category, since this tool can significantly redesign an assignment and allow for students to create something completely new. Students can create an infinite number of different things, including posters, presentations, graphics, flyers, and more. The animation features elevate this platform since these features are not possible without technology. In addition to the SAMR framework, this tool reinforces the idea of TPACK in that it enforces the content knowledge, helps students learn technology knowledge and graphic design, and helps students apply their learning to a visual format. Overall, this is a wonderful tool that both the students and I love!

I've used canva in other instances apart from educational and it's been so helpful. Especially since it's a free tool. I really loved that it allows you to be creative in whatever way you want so it's like a blank board for learners to be creative.

Overall, I think that Canva is a really good resource as it teaches students a really important skill which is creativity. Although, one critique I would give it is that it can be overwhelming at first for new users. There are a lot of tools to use, and it is hard to understand all of them.

Canva is a great resource for educators to utilize throughout different areas in an educational setting. This website provides templates for posters, handouts, whiteboards, social media and more that can be used to gain the interest of not only students, but also parents and faculty. What I liked the most about this website was the wide range of variety that it offers teachers. As a student you can always tell how much effort your teachers put into class presentations. I always paid attention to the teachers who had the interactive slides and colorful presentations. The only thing that I didn't like was that you have to pay for some features. I understand that the website needs a way to generate income so this is understandable. In a perfect world all resources for teachers would be free. Besides that, this is a great website that I am sure I will utilize in the future.

My overall opinion about this resource as a teaching tool is incredibly good for students who aren't as creative as others and it gives them a choice on doing a project online, rather than something in their hands. However, it can be difficult to teach younger students how to use online sources, so I would say this would be in great help for educators and students. 10/10 would be recommended for teaching purposes.

Canva can be confusing when you are using for the first couple of times, but you will get the hang of it when you become comfortable with the features it possess.

I like that there are more template variations and sometimes you can find templates that are very specific to your topic. The easy layout provides many opportunities for students to succeed on their presentations and other projects. One thing I wish was that there was a tool to check grammatical errors as Google Slides has. Also, it can be frustrating when some options are locked on the free version. Despite this, I believe that Canva is a great tool for students and that it should be used in the classroom.
